The Mississippi Youth Council is a group of passionate youth leaders dedicated to creating a better future for young people across Mississippi. Through advocacy, policy, and systems change, MYCouncil empowers youth to use their voices, share their ideas, and help shape lasting, positive change in their communities and across Mississippi.
“I get to participate in lobbying. We get to participate in advocacy trainings. We get to participate in networking. We go to the capitol and talk to all of the senators and legislators. And it means a lot to me because I get to be a voice for those who can’t speak on the sexual health that we need in Mississippi.” —Kimberly Davis, 2018-2020 MYCouncil member
MYCouncil Goals

- Advocate for youth-centered policies and systems changes that create equitable opportunities and improve outcomes for young people.
