Teen Health Mississippi develops and implements programs and initiatives that ensure that Mississippi teens are empowered with the essential knowledge, skills, and resources to make informed decisions about their sexual health. We work with youth-serving adults and organizations to ensure they have the capacity to address the unique sexual health needs of Mississippi teens.

Our Current Program Areas

CHART

Creating Healthy and Responsible Teens (CHART) works with Mississippi school districts to increase adoption and implementation of abstinence-plus sex education policies and evidence-based, medically accurate, and age-appropriate programs.

K-5 Human Growth and Development Initiative

The K-5 Human Growth and Development Initiative helps students develop decision-making skills that are crucial for everyday life by working with districts to provide customized curriculum and training and technical assistance.

LinkedUp

LinkedUp is focused on linking young people to youth-friendly health services as they transition from high school to college—or whatever their next step after high school may be.

Pregnancy Assistance Fund

Through the Pregnancy Assistance Fund Program, we partner with the Mississippi State Department of Health to support expectant and parenting youth. Through provider training and resource guides, we’re working to identify, assess and open access to the youth-friendly and high-quality medical, social, educational, and other services they need to be physically and emotionally healthy.
